Glowing Summer Sunset
 
One of my favourite sunset pieces which I have held onto for a while! I spent a couple of years working on sunsets and trying to figure out how to make the light glow from the canvas. All those subtle hues are tricky to capture! With plein air painting, it takes regular practice, study and fine tuning of your eye to attempt to capture something so beautiful and fleeting. This sunset filled the sky and glowed through the cloud layers, it really put on a show of colour and light.
