Autumn Sea looking North.

This piece was painted this Autumn at Llanrhystud, looking northwards up the coast. The clouds were rolling by fast in the fresh wind so colour, light and tones changed constantly. The sea would lose the blues reflected from the sky, turning a steely grey/ purple/ beige cloud colour, but then the blues would return. I loved that bright line of blue that glowed on the seas edge in the distance. The sun seemed to keep shining the most on the distant land and the foreground rocks and eroded edge mostly remained a dark and striking silhouette.
